Testimonials

Dear Dr. Robbins,

The best way to describe how much you helped me is for me to compare what my life was like before I met you to how wonderful it has been since you successfully excised endometriosis from me.

Before I met you I lived in excruciating pain for more than one year but I was told by doctors in Boston – including one who did a laparoscopy on me to check for endometriosis – that they could find nothing wrong with me.  The Boston doctors had no idea that I had endometriosis so they offered me no hope of a cure and, as a result, I became increasingly sick and debilitated by my pain.

I could barely get through my daily routine before I met you.  I was taking prescription pain medications to try to alleviate my symptoms, I was vomiting 5 to 6 times daily because the pain was so bad, and I had to take short-term disability from work because the pain completely interfered with my life.

Before I met you I was consumed by endometriosis and my life consisted of only (1) taking pain meds so that I could function enough to take care of my daily responsibilities, (2) lying in bed as much as possible so that I didn’t stir up my pain, and (3) trying to find a doctor who would take me seriously and effectively treat my pain, once and for all.

I needed to find an endometriosis expert and I am so thankful that I found you.  You never offered me “band-aid” (medical) treatments that would only temporarily suppress my symptoms and, instead, you removed every bit of endometriosis that you could find.  I give you lots of credit for taking time to find and remove it, particularly when the Boston doctors said it didn’t exist.

After undergoing surgery with you I tapered off my pain medication immediately and went back to work within a couple of weeks.  Since my recovery from the surgery I have not needed any more pain medication, not even over-the-counter medicines.  I could not be more thrilled with how well I’m doing now.

You gave me back my life, Dr. Robbins, and because you happen to be the kindest, most caring, most professional doctor I’ve ever known you also made the process very easy on me.  Thanks to you,  I am once again active, happy, and focused on my future.  You’re the best and I wholeheartedly recommend you to everyone who suffers from the illnesses that you treat.

Sincerely,
Sarah O., Massachusetts

Hello Dr. Robbins,

I wanted to take a moment to share how impressed I have been having you as my surgeon. More specifically, how impressed many of my friends (who previously had the same surgery by other Drs) were with the quick recovery time. Actually, they were shocked and felt that I was misinformed. When I shared with them that I am expected to be up and moving within days, they challenged it and said that it took them weeks before they were feeling well enough to move. They drilled me on what was being done (partial hysterectomy via laparoscopic procedure) and still were in disbelief that I would be feeling well so quickly.

  • This was my prognosis and recovery time:
  • Multiple peduncutlated fibroids and endometriosis
  • Surgery on Friday
  • Departed hospital on Saturday napped all day.
  • Walked slow 1/2 mile on Sunday and socialized with visitors.
  • Slept Monday morning and worked in afternoon on the computer.
  • Worked the rest of the week with walks daily.
  • Went out on Thursday & Friday night.
  • By the second week, I was ready to run, but refrained~!

By comparing notes with others that have had this procedure, clearly you have the experience and level of expertise to bring this procedure to a level that is non-invasive to my lifestyle and made it almost convenient to fit in during a busy holiday schedule!

With gratitude,

Leanne, Maine
